WHAT AWAITS YOU?
The EYWAH FESTIVAL is a musical journey where musicians share their stories and learn from one another. It is a four-day workshop event where participants learn music entirely by ear – without sheet music. The workshops are led by expert musicians from various regions. This approach encourages collaboration between amateurs and professionals and offers an intuitive way to explore different musical structures.
During the festival, participants can focus on one of four main areas: harmony, percussion, vocals, or melody. The experienced mentors – Kimia Bani (Percussion), Dilay Yaman (Vocals), Moulou Mammeri (Harmony), and Blanche Marguerite (Melody) – guide the workshops, also known as Sections.
Throughout the festival, participants are grouped into smaller ensembles to collaboratively develop a performance for the final concert. This concert also serves as a contest, where participants collectively define the criteria for evaluating each performance. The voting takes place during the final concert and is done by the participants themselves.
EYWAH promotes exchange, presence, and empowerment.
